Teaching organisation
After rising for several years there are currently 42 children on roll (as at July 2006) and this will probably be stabilising over the next few years.
The National Curriculum is divided at the Primary Level into two ‘Stages’:
Key Stage 1 for ages 5 – 7 and
Key Stage 2 for ages 7 – 11
The very youngest children are known as ‘Nursery’ and then move into ‘Reception’. The subsequent year groups are numbered from Year One (the youngest) to Year Six (the oldest).
The children in this school are divided into two classes.
Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 (14 children) are taught by Mrs Griffiths.
Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 (26 children) are taught by Mr Parkinson.
In addition the children are also supported by our Classroom Assistants, Mrs Woolhouse, Mrs Roberts and Mrs Arran.
